How do I get to the rooftop?

Access to SOKO Rooftop is via the dedicated lift on the side of the Jubilee Place building, located on Symes Street, Fortitude Valley. Look for the SOKO logo on the street and follow the signs directing you to the rooftop access elevator.

How do I make a booking?
For groups of 20 or less, you can make a booking on our website, or email reservations@sokobrisbane.com.au. Large groups of 20 or more can make a booking by emailing michael@potentialeisure.com.au or jess@potentialeisure.com.au.

SOKO Rooftop accepts groups of all sizes which is great when organising a Brisbane rooftop brunch. We have a maximum capacity of 500, and we’re happy to put together an event for large groups.

Can we split bills?
Unfortunately, we are unable to split bills or bar tabs.

Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes we do, however bookings are recommended.

What is the dress code?
We ask that guests maintain a smart casual dress code to enhance the experience of fine dining in Brisbane at SOKO Rooftop.

Does SOKO Rooftop have air conditioning and is it protected from the weather?
We offer a mix of indoor and outdoor seating and entertainment spaces. Our indoor bar and dining areas feature air conditioning. The majority of our outdoor tables are protected from the weather by large umbrellas.

Is there on-site parking?
There is limited on-site parking in the streets surrounding SOKO Rooftop. Street parks are available for those attending a Tezukuri business lunch reservation. Brewers St, Constance St, Symes St and St Pauls Terrace all offer a small amount of street parking. The nearest paid parking is at King Street Parking, which can be accessed via the entry at 22 Alexandria St.

If so, what are the costs?
King Street Parking offers 2 hours of free parking, or it costs $18 to park for 2+ hours on evenings and on weekends. The street parking available near Jubilee Place is metered from 7am-10pm on weekdays, and 7am-7pm on weekends.

Do you have wheelchair access?
SOKO Rooftop and the Jubilee Place building are fully accessible for people using wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Please let our staff know if you have any special requirements when making your booking.

Can you cater to dietary requirements?
If you have special dietary requirements, please feel free to talk to your host about which of our options are suitable for your needs.

Can I create a bar tab?
Yes – we are happy to start a bar tab for your table, group or booking. Talk to your host to find out more.

What if I’m late for my booking?
We will hold your booking for 15 mins after the allocated time.

Can I bring additional guests?
You may be able to bring additional guests, depending on our capacity and the size of your booking.

Can I reschedule my booking?
We are happy to reschedule your booking to another day or time. We ask that you provide as much notice as possible if you would like to move your booking. Rescheduling for a different time on the same day may be possible, depending on capacity.

EVENTS/FUNCTIONS

Can I bring my own decorations?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own display and signage when hosting an event or function at Soko Rooftop. You will require prior approval from our Event Managers for the following:

  • The plans and designs for exhibitions or displays that you want to stage or present during your event. Plans must be provided at least 10 business days prior to your event.
  • Displays of any kind that are intended to be located outside the designated event room.
  • Any signage that needs to be attached using screws, nails or adhesive to the walls, doors, ceilings or any other part of the venue.
  • Advertising in relation to your event which includes reference to SOKO Rooftop.
  • The use of smoke machines, special balloon effects and/or pyrotechnics. These can all cause issues with our smoke detection system. Should the Fire Brigade respond to an alarm in the event room that was set off by unauthorised use of smoke machines, special balloon effects and/or pyrotechnics, you will be liable for any charges we incur.

Can we bring our own cake?
Absolutely! We offer two options if you’d like to bring your own cake. For $35 the guest or a host can cut and serve their own cake to guests. We will supply a cake knife and plates. Alternatively, our kitchen can cut and serve the cake for $5pp.

Can we make speeches or have music at our event?
SOKO Rooftop is a shared rooftop venue in Brisbane and amplified speeches and music aren’t permitted unless the venue is booked exclusively. Depending on the day of the week and other events we have scheduled, management may be able to approve an amplified speech. You’ll need to request and receive our written approval prior to your booking.

Is there a minimum spend?
Yes, events at SOKO Rooftop have minimum spend requirements. Your minimum spend is based on the number of guests, lunch or dinner bookings, seated or standing, day of the week and time of the year. Talk to us about your event and our team will be able to confirm the minimum spend requirements based on the details you provide.

What is your cancellation policy?
Events and functions at SOKO Rooftop are subject to the following cancellation policy:

  • 60+ days prior to the event – 20% of the estimated total event costs will be charged.
  • 31-59 days prior to the event – 50% of the estimated total event costs will be charged.
  • 8-30 days prior to the event – 80% of the estimated total event costs will be charged.
  • Within 7 days of the event – 100% of the estimated total event costs will be charged.
